Praised for their drinkability, Rex Red Ale  presents a distinct reddish appearance (thanks to a bit of roasted malt) and a delightfully malt-focused taste. A tan head gives off a clean aroma of caramel, toast or toffee; a smooth, medium body carries a caramel-toffee flavor with a hint of English hops. The drink concludes with a characteristic light roastiness and a somewhat dry finish. 6.0% ABV

This beer poured brilliantly clear, with a rich golden color and a soft thick white head with long lasting persistence. It was beautiful to look at the many bubbles rising to the top. Malty sweet in the aroma, with very low hop/yeast spiciness with some lighter touches of floral and fruity esters. Grainy malt notes come through with a white bready character.  The flavor mirrors the aroma in the malt and esters arena. The bitterness is moderately-high, and the dry, lager-like finish lingers for a while in the aftertaste. This beer is lightly balanced towards the sweet, bready, slightly grainy malt. This is one very well made and easy-drinking lager. Clean, malty, lightly spicy and dry — this is one beer that’s hard to put down!

Pilsner pours to a beautiful bright, brilliant golden color with a thick, creamy white head, and a moderate amount of carbonation. The nose on this beer is very fragrant with flowery, herbal hop aromas comes out. The palate on this beer is soft, with lots of good crisp pilsner malt flavors. The body is so round and clean on this beer, making it very drinkable. Pilsner finishes with more of that good malt flavor up front, then ends with a dry, grassy, balancing hop bitterness that slightly lingers. 4.5 ABV%
