Well, its been a while since I last updated the blog. What have I been up to?
I did a short radio interview at K104.7, with Woodman in the Morning, for the Hudson Valley Mac and Cheese Festival at Brotherhood Winery (the 2nd oldest winery in the US). Thank you for getting me the interview Angelo!
I was joined by Jason and Michelle of Mix N Mac. Holy hell do they make some killer stuff. Ever heard of Shrimp Scampi Mac and Cheese? Also, the Mac and Cheese Balls, yes Balls, UNREAL!
Worked on the building plans with the architect. Glad I decided to get one. I have no idea as to where I would be without one. Probably face down in a tray of BBQ wondering where my life is going. But it is coming along!
Found a couple of Smoking Hot Ladies to rock the New Swag in a fun photo shoot. Thank you Lisarae and Ashley! These shirts better sell or you don’t get paid. If interested in some shirts, can’t help you with the ladies, you can reach me Here. We have men’s and womens sizes available. FYI, grey is running very low and I will be ordering some new ones soon. Just let me know your color and size!
Began reading an awesome book, The Hop Grower’s Handbook, by Laura and Deiter of Indian Ladder Farmstead Brewery and Cidery. Check out their Facebook Page and go sample some beers and cider at their brewery. If you stop there and are heading back to Pearl River, snag me some of their Cider Donuts. They are delicious!
Got motivated to try and propagate my hops from cuttings by way of new rhizomes and rooting hormone/seedling trays from Rohslers Allendale Nursery. Need some flowers for Mother’s Day? This is the place to get them. Bruce and the gang will take care of all of your needs.
Did some more cooking. This dish turned out to be a turkey meatloaf with some of SpicesInc.com’s Vietnamese Pork Rub. I love this company. If I place an order from them before 2pm on a weekday I have my order the next day. Give them a call and ask for Rob. He and his family will hook you up with all your spice needs. They will help guide you with what you are looking for. Not only will they give you great service and offer you a quality product, but their spices are much cheaper than the grocery store. Thank you Rob!
Did I mention I did some hop propagation?
Cooked again, this time it was 2 racks of pork Ribs, 2 racks of beef ribs, 8 pork butts, and some smoked mac and cheese with BACON! Thank you for the SPG Rub Sucklebusters!
Swagged out at the day job.
Enjoyed taking walks at night with my wife and the pups.
Did some more cooking.
Did someone say beef rib?
So, I’ve been running around like a mad man and trying to progress further with the brewery. I have learned to take baby steps and tackle each day as it comes rushing at you. At the end of the day, its about loving what you do and following your dream. Until next time.
p.s. Did I mention those Cider Donuts from Indian Ladder Farmstead Brewery and Cidery?!?!
